KTM RC390 Cup Revealed, Production Version Next

As expected, KTM has pulled the wraps off a fully faired small displacement sports bike - KTM RC390 Cup. The new bike is currently only race homologated, meant to participate in the 2014 ADAC Junior Cup Powered by KTM. However, a production version of the same has also been officially confirmed, set for 2014 launch.

KTM RC390 Cup was unveiled during the MotoGP event at Germany's Sachsenring circuit. The fully faired machine is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder engine, which has most likely come from the KTM 390 Duke naked bike.

The bike's 373cc engine has been rated at 37.5 HP, which is less than the 44HP offered by the 390 Duke. However, at just 130 kg the RC390 cup is quite a bit lighter. Other features include tubular steel trellis frame, WP suspension, radial-mount brakes, cast aluminium wheels etc. Complete list of tech specs of the KTM RC390 Cup can be found below. Note that several of these specs, such as the aluminium wheels will not be retained in the production version.
